CPR AND AED COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Cardiac arrest is very common – anyone at home or in the community can have a sudden cardiac arrest. Do you have enough knowledge to save this life? The same is the case with choking. It could be an adult, child, or baby who might choke on something unexpectedly.
Courses on CPR provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies. Participants also learn the use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator). CPR recertification includes the latest CPR guidelines and meets legislation for provincial/ territorial worker safety and board. It also meets standards established by the Federal Occupational Health and Safety Act. So everybody should get first aid and CPR training for daily life.

Prerequisite:
- For individuals to participate in a recertification course, they must have a current, non-expired Red Cross CPR C/ AED certificate.
- Once recertified, the participants will have to take the full course after 3 years.
